He is ... the founder and editor-in-chief of The GroundTruth Project, a non-profit journalism organisation that is home to two flagship programmes supporting emerging journalists in under-covered corners of the world: Report for America and Report for the World. He is the Institute for Liberal Arts' visiting scholar at Boston College where he teaches a seminar titled "Truth: A Short History." He is a former Nieman Fellow at Harvard University and recently received the distinguished alumni award from his alma mater, Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
