It is im­pos­si­ble to de­scribe white su­prema­cy with­out de­tail­ing what it means to be a Black per­son in Amer­i­ca.

What does it mean to be a writer in a time when read­ing is no longer fun­da­men­tal but com­ment­ing is ab­solute­ly nec­es­sary?

Yet we praise mer­i­toc­ra­cy as though it were a god and blame the poor for be­ing poor.

I do not know what has sud­den­ly caused this out­pour­ing of white anger about racism, but I have to ques­tion it.

Hav­ing threat­ened the life of an in­no­cent Black man, you have been giv­en a small taste of what it is like to be Black.

If you be­lieve in Amer­i­ca, if you love this coun­try, then the found­ing ideals are what you should be fight­ing for.
